Our Story

Roses N Things is a Caravan park and Garden which was established around 22 years ago.

In 2017 Lisa and Jason took over the business moving to Barcaldine from Port Hedland in WA with their two high school aged children, set for a new adventure. They were ready to leave the hustle and bustle of regular work life and try something completely different. Currently they have made the business into something well worth visiting.

Roses N Things was originally named after the beautiful 875 rose bushes on site. The Caravan Park and Gardens are a grand contrast to the outback landscape, you will be delighted to see what has evolved. The 875 rose bushes are no longer due to drought, but currently roses are spotted around the beautiful landscape of the Gardens.  It is a beautiful oasis in the outback.

The grounds are lovely with lots of green grass, shade and gardens. This Caravan Park in Barcaldine is the only park located away from the main highway in a semi rural setting, avoiding the highway noise. The amenities at Roses N Things Caravan Park are spacious, clean with disabled access and a laundry is available.  Evening dining is available most nights, come and relax in our oasis.

This is one of the best parks we have stayed in. It is a gem. Only 11 grass sites with a beautiful outlook. Horse came over for a pat whilst we were setting up. Amazing sunsets. Plenty of trees. We did not need to put out our awning. Jason and Lisa very friendly & helpful. Away from mainroad so nice and quiet. Amenities are very clean and tidy. We had a beautiful lunch at the cafe run by Jason, Lisa and their daughter. The food is first class & the gardens are stunning. They also have a beautiful gift shop. One of the very few Caravan Parks I could spend more days just relaxing. This is a must stay park if you are in the area.

Love it here. It’s so quaint and beautifully kept. I’ve never found a campsite quite so beautiful in the outback. It’s quiet. Amenities good, huge showers! Most of all the friendliest reception you could ever wish for from Jason. We need more of him in the world and indeed in the camping business.
